The sun had set a little while ago, but the last light of day still lingered in the sky. In that blue-tinged twilight, a slender crescent of the new moon. Just above it, the bright evening star. Lights were coming on, one by one, in the houses below—the earth’s slow and silent journey into the night.
No hurry. No commotion. It feels as though evening does not descend here—it simply spreads, slowly and quietly.
